I recently interviewed at a management consulting firm and received positive feedback from the hiring manager. I was then asked to have some rounds of interviews with the client I may possibly be working on. Unfortunately, one of interviewers at the client was not fond of my candidacy and felt I was to junior level. But if I am not an employee of the client would they have a say on whether the consulting firm will hire me?

If the position is specifically for this one client then, yes. It wouldn't make sense to hire someone who didn't meet the client's requirements.

Yup. I agree with that.
Only thing to add is that finding a person that a client will be totally happy with will probably be next to impossible. So the name of the game is who the client will be least unhappy with.
No this is just one of the many assignments I will be placed on
They are unlikely to hire you based on their clients observations. They do need to keep their clients happy, and if hiring you is a problem for one of the clients you'd be working with, they're not going to risk losing business.

Technically speaking - yes. They can have an influence. But will they? That's a question only the hiring manager can answer. Is this someone with subject matter expertise in your area who's opinion contradicts your stated experience? Or are you just not as 'seasoned' as the client was hoping, but your background seems consistent with your resume? There are so many questions that can be read into this.
I think the fact that you are going to be working on multiple tasks is a good thing. After all, the name of the game there is being billable.
