It takes me about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic and I can barely handle THAT!
Not sure how the people who have longer commutes deal with it every day. Ugh the traffic, the complete IDIOTS all over the road, the red lights, the trucks everywhere. I DESPISE driving into work each day...
Used to be 20-25 minutes to and from. Now that everyone and their grandmother has moved here it's up to 45-55 minutes. Add in the booming freeway expansions (due to the influx) and you can tack on an extra 10-15 minutes (freeway closures, reroutes, etc)
I feel your pain. We live in Magnolia and am fortunate enough to work nearby in Tomball. My drive is just 20 minutes each way. But working in Houston, especially if you live in the suburbs, is a nightmare of epic proportions. There's bad traffic and road construction all the time. Gf travels all over the city for her job, and her commute averages 1 hour each way. Plus the Sam Houston Tollway or Hwy 99 gets rich off her every time. We're moving soon, and a lot of the reason is due to the endless frustrating traffic issues.
10 seconds, I work from home in a small apartment. Over the summer I worked in another location that took anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes one way, most often probably an hour and 5 or so. I felt that was too long. Didn't help that I hated that job.I'd prefer no longer than 45 each way.
Mine is about an hour- hour & 15 mins mins door to door (but majority of that time is sitting on a train).
My husband's is about the same length of time, but in the car. No traffic, but still.
The problem is our jobs are in opposite directions. So we live in the middle. We both have good jobs we hate to leave, but at some point.... the commute, esp the drive, is a real drain
15 minutes by Uber, 35 minutes by bus (walking 2 blocks), 25 minutes by underground (walking 8 blocks) depends on my meeting schedule and the weather.
