Whether you carpool, take public transportations or drive, how long does it usually take you to get to work? For me it's 45mins to an hour both to and from work. It is a little stressful but I get used to it.

Any of you changed job or relocate because of long tiresome commute?

Do tell?

15 minutes each way, 5 miles each way.

Prior to that I drove 30 miles and it took between 1 and 2 hours each way. Sometimes more.

Used to be 20-25 minutes to and from. Now that everyone and their grandmother has moved here it's up to 45-55 minutes. Add in the booming freeway expansions (due to the influx) and you can tack on an extra 10-15 minutes (freeway closures, reroutes, etc)

Good days= 20 min.
Bad days= an hour/hour and a half.
Average day= 35-40 min.
Best days= how ever long it takes to get from the bedroom to the home office.

The travel days, I find it a nice chance to get caught up on a podcast or two. I have learned to enjoy the "commute".

I live less than 5 miles from work and it takes me about 10-12 minutes each way.

I once had a long commute (about an hour or more each way) when I lived in Phoenix, and it's part of what prompted me to transfer jobs and move much closer to my work. I HATED it.

This also had a lot to do with the change (HIGHLY recommended reading):

15 minute bike rise + 35 minute train + 5 minute walk=55 minutes.

right now, it's about 35 minutes because that includes dropping off and picking up my son at school. Once he starts taking the school bus, my commute drops down to about 15 minutes. Can't wait!
