Yesterday I received an email from stating my resume had been reviewed and to setup a yahoo messenger Interview with head of operations,Aaron Hainley from AllianceHealth.I honestly apply to so many jobs on a daily basis I sometimes dont recall who Iapplied to.The job offer was good but I told Mr. Hainley I would need time.Upon researching,it seems that this company is a scam wanting people's information to wipe out thier bank account. I did find it strange when he asked what bank account do I bank with during the interview...Has anyone heard if Alliancehealth is a scam?Anyone familiar with that type of email?Your advice would be appreciated.

You found out everything you need to know in order to know this is a scam already. Don't go through with it. An immediate job offer after an interview held over instant messenger, and they want to know what bank you use, and you see that it's a scam when you look things up? Scam...

He is online waiting to talk to you ASAP.

Just the wording of the email looks like a red flag to me.

It's a scam. I applied for a job with fidelity that looked real through LinkedIn, and this yahoo scam came up. No legitimate HR will hire you without a face to face interview.

Why are these only obvious to some people. I'm always shocked how many people fall for these. I sympathize with the elderly or mentally impaired but the average person shouldn't fall for these scams. Is it more naivete or just the obsession with luck or something for nothing mindset?

I know that most people are cutting the cord and I have even heard of some companies that are doing away with wired phones, but you would think that they would at least use some sort of teleconferencing tool, like Skype, when conducting an interview. That along with the bank question screams scam to me.

They think they are worth more than they are offered so big numbers blind them into thinking they hit gold

Did you go through with the Yahoo messenger interview? If so I would do a deep virus scan on your PC.

Yes. Skype interviews are not uncommon if the job is cross-country and it is the first round. Then an employer will usually fly you in to interview in person for a second round. But Yahoo Messenger?? Absolutely no way. The bank information just confirms it. It is not even specifically addressed, just "Applicant".
