I thought of that: calling out bad manners is not harassment.

o.O I don't even know what to say... I'd never go in the kitchen again if I saw someone spitting in the sink. It'd make me wonder what else they felt was ok to do in there.

They were doing quite the opposite. They were giving you good advice to not be the weird guy in the office who brushes his teeth in the kitchen sink.

The fact that you see nothing wrong with brushing your teeth in a KITCHEN SINK WHERE PEOPLE HAVE TO WASH THEIR DISHES is disturbing to me.

Not to bust on you but people never said anything to your face. Most likely they have been talking behind your back. It is kinder to say it to your face.

One of my coworkers came in and commented on the fact I need to use the bathroom to do this, and to which I replied about there isn't hot water and it just takes too long to bring my brush and tooth paste to the restroom and back and not go over my 30 minute lunch break.

I find out from another one of my coworkers that she has been telling everyone about how I use the kitchen to brush my teeth and that its not the proper place to do this and how disgusting it is. I've been doing this for nearly 5 years, and no one has said a thing. Am I in the wrong or am I to consider this harassment from my coworker? If I am in the wrong, I'll stop brushing my teeth. It's just in the past 5 years, no one has said a thing, until now. Also, I won't brush my teeth while someone is eating. We all get our assigned lunch break periods, and there usually isn't anyone else in the kitchen. It's just, I work with the public, and I like to keep good hygiene.
Um....

That's NASTY.

Brush your teeth in the bathroom.

"Work-place harassment? "
I don't think your lack of manners and decorum is in any way harassing your fellow employees.
It IS disgusting and gross though.

OP, the consensus is that you should not use the kitchen sink to brush your teeth. I've deleted some inappropriate posts and the thread is now closed.
