i've always thought finance was the more employable degree, but some sources on the internet said that economic degree holders' options are more varied.
I want to be a business analyst. Which would be the better degree for that?
Doesn't matter for an entry level position like a business analyst...you will get hired based on your school, gpa, preparedness and interviewing skills.
Look into getting a degree in business with a concentration with information systems and take courses in databases, programming, etc. This way you will graduate with understanding of the technical side of business.
Depends. Are you planning to get a higher degree afterward? Economics I think only has value on masters level and up. Finance I would say would have more immediate. In retrospect I probably could have had a double major with economics because it was maybe five or six more classes. Not that big of a deal though.
Neither lead to a business analyst position. You'd really need a more technical degree for a BA role, and experience.
what do you mean by technical? do you mean like applied math/stats? or something that is technical like engineering or comp sci?
