Hoping you guys can help....

Does anyone know job websites that a British national can look on, in order to immigrate to the states? Specifically hospitality or sales?

I'm British by birth, but grew up in the states due to my parents working in the oil industry. I moved to the uk for the first time at 17, spent a few years here then moved back to the states with my British husband for his work for a few years (I'm now divorced) and been back in the UK for about 18 months now.

The states had always been home, my siblings are American by birth (but choose to live in the uk as they have dual nationality) and I have never felt at home in this country.

I'm struggling with missing friends, people I grew up with, the culture I'm so familiar with. I just want to be back where I feel at home. I have an American accent, use American terms and colloquialisms and even miss things like American food, drinks, cars...everything. I feel like I'm stuck somewhere I don't belong. I'm only British by my passport and I wasn't even born in the UK (sadly not born in the states though).

I am aware of the different types of visas and their requirements. Believe me I've spent months pouring over pages on the Internet. I just can't seem to find jobs or companies that would sponsor British people.

I work in hospitality sales as a director of sales looking after five hotels.

Desperate to get 'home'. Any help appreciated

I'm an executive recruiter (not in the hospitality industry); I would assume that applying for a job in the US that would be willing to sponsor you would be one route; but not the only one: it might be easier if you first took a job for a US based hotel chain with a UK presence OR a UK based chain with a US presence and then did an internal transfer- I would assume finding an employer to both hire you and sponsor you without being an internal transfer would be infinitely more challenging.

Another possible option would be to have one of your siblings sponsor you for a green card (though I'm uncertain whether than can do that while living abroad-- and the waiting period for a sibling sponsorship is quite lengthy)-- have you spoken with an immigration attorney, by chance?
