Hello Everyone! The other day I received a call about a leasing agent position I recently applied for. The apartments are nice, but probably 10 or so years past their prime. Has anyone ever worked as a leasing agent for an apartment community. Pretty much I am trying to figure out exactly what to expect. Do tenants and prospects tend to treat these people with respect? I'm just not sure if I want to take this position or not. Thank you.
I actually did do this years ago, very briefly as a weekend job to supplement my full-time income. It's pretty much showing apartments, running credit checks, follow-ups, etc. Pretty routine/mundane. Your job is essentially sales.
I have a lot more experience as an apartment tenant, and I always treated leasing office staff with respect. Why wouldn't people treat them with respect?
