I don't think it matters much. Are you trying for a career with either of these positions? Both are going to be challenging to make significant advances for more pay.

Stock clerk.

Don't want to deal with bodily fluids and accidents in the bathroom and aisles ("vomit cleanup, aisle 4")

Stock clerk because you should be able to learn more about the company that way, there's more room for growth (IMO), and you're not working with toxic chemicals and heavy machinery cleaning carpets.

Thanks! No, I'm not, but I feel working as a cleaner, you gain more marketable skills than a stock clerk.

Thank you! From what I gathered, the stock clerk positions are more in demand. But the cleaner position wouldn't be permanent. It's just a position to get into the company, and the company is a huge on promoting from within. I just not sure on where to move in the company. That's probably my biggest issue right now.

Stock clerk. When I was 19 I was hired as inventory/stock clerk and ended up as head buyer in less than a year.

If all were equal, I for one, of course, would choose the stock clerk job. The "all were equal" meant the payers did not treat you like a subhuman. Otherwises, I shall head back to my smoldering guns or the broom sticks.

Wow, less than a year! That's awesome! Did you pursue a buyer as a career afterwards?
