Recently I received a job offer as a Night Auditor at my current place of work. I have been the Chief Engineer for the last 4 years and I'm at a certain point in college where I need to start doing internships or some sort of related work toward my future field.
For those that have knowledge in the accounting field (and possibly hotel night audit positions), does this sound like it would be a good start? Would it do me any justice on my resume when applying to a firm in the future?
My high school friend is a Night Auditor at a hotel and she's never attended college. Chief Engineer sounds far more prestigious than Night Auditor.
I have experience being the Office Manager / Bookkeeper of a large construction company. I think I'd rather be an Accounts Payable or Payroll person before I'd take the job of Night Auditor.
You know, when I interview for work I pack pepper spray in case I run into an accountant or some-one who recruits for them.
