Going thru the threads in the work forum it seems job 20 bucks or so per hr is poverty wages. Reality is most people don't make 20 hr out there. Are most of you 100k a year and up? 20 bucks is a good wage to me. I am not ashamed to say this. I have a feeling a lot of people posting here are bull@#$% about their wages or stuck up looking down on the masses.
Theres a lotta complaining but its mostly from the certain self entitled arrogant types who don like the replies they get. not everybody looks down on ppl here. and $20 for were i live is amazing

No need to get upset over the opinions of strangers on the internet. As long as your salary allows you to spend, travel, and save then it shouldn't matter what people on here think about your wages.

Thank you. I have noticed this for a very long time. Many people here do seem to 1) lie about what they earn and 2) criticize or make snark comments towards people who earn lower salaries. But notice, if you ask those same posters what they do for a living, they won't exactly tell you. That's because they don't want you to know.
Statistically, only about 5% of Americans earn 100K a year or more. That means about 95% earn less. It couldn't be possible that everyone here is making a lot of money, as they claim they are.
Nothing at all wrong with a $20 per hour job or a $50 hr job. If you are happy, and have a good life, be happy don’t worry. Everyone has different wants or needs.
You'll get all ends of the spectrum here. I think I have a great job ($27/hr with full benefits and no commute) but I certainly don't look down on others who make less. However, I think for posters in good jobs, it can be a bit frustrating. We read over and over about posters who clearly are blaming everyone and the dog for their lack of success, and at some point, people need to realize that adopting different strategies is necessary.

I dont think annual income or hourly wage is a good way to measure wealth....I think net worth is the best way.
