People often whine on here:
  1. Employers Don't Owe You a Job
  2. Improve Your Skillset and You'll get Hired
  3. Set Being so Entitled!
  4. You have to go outside of your comfort zone to get a job. Make contacts, etc.
  5. Kids out of college shouldn't expect to work in $100K/yr jobs right away.
  6. Maybe you're just a bad employee.
  7. You need to take any job.

I got to thinking, then, why does Congress owe these companies more workers (via H1B, H2B, Amnesty for illegals, etc) if they have a shortage? Why doesn't Congress say:
  1. You aren't owed an employee
  2. Improve your pay and benefits and you'll get more employees
  3. Stop being so entitled
  4. You have to try more than just keyword searches and useless HR people to find good talent. You actually have to go out and look for it.
  5. Companies shouldn't be demanding that kids out of college already have 2-4 years experience right out the gate.
  6. Maybe you just suck so bad as a company that nobody except trapped H1Bs or illegals would work for you.
  7. You're being too picky. Stop looking for purple squirrels.

I've heard lots of arguments that the government shouldn't be in the business of making sure that every person has a job. However, why aren't we arguing that the government shouldn't be making sure that every employer has a position filled also?

Because we bought the right to get what we wanted!

The average voter isn't owed nothing as we control the information use to get someone elected. Look at the last election, we got a president of the US who sold people a bill of goods on "America First" while he actually employs H2B visa holders. H2B!!!!! My god, hiring foreigners to wash the floors and clean the bathrooms because there is a shortage of american workers to do it! How stupid must a person had been to not comprehend the irony? So it's not about you, it's not about your life, it's not about your family; it's only about us and what we business owners want and need. You are just a vote we buy and sell to meet our needs, that's all american workers are!

I know this is hard to swallow. I know this is harder to accept. And, I know it is not want anyone ever thought, but hey, reality can be a mother!

Well, remember the line of the ants to the grasshoppers in Bugs Life: "You need us more than we need you."
