So then you did work for two weeks before you left the job right?

Two weeks notice is just that, you plan on working for two weeks.

Either you worked for two weeks or you did not work for two weeks.

I know people that gave two weeks notice and the company they were working for told them not to bother and gave them a check at the time of separation. I have never known anyone to give a two week notice and then not come back to work, or turn on all their work stuff.

Sounds more like you quit after less than a day on the job. It cost your employer more money for you to walk away then you ever made them. I would be embarrassed to ask them for anything.

Contact the DOL first thing Monday. Find out the requirements on them. Hold them to the letter of the law.

I've asked a moderator to close this. I got my pay and we left on good terms. Got a little extra also. I'm satisfied with the solution the company came up with.
