I'm lucky and get both days off. Definitely not sad about getting some extra sleep!

Even though we are open on Monday, the boss sent an email out saying we will leave at 1pm and receive lunch.

So I won't feel too bad coming to work on monday.

I guess a 3 and a half day weekend is not too bad but I still wish we were closed on Monday. Someone made a good point that it makes no sense to get up early to be dismissed at 1pm.

I've worked the 4th of July for the past 6 consecutive years. Most emergency medicine physicians have to split major holidays in terms of which we work and which we don't. For instance, it's either New Year's Day or 4th of July.

So I'll be working this upcoming holiday, including the entire weekend .
