Doctors are certainly on more "most respected profession" lists than CEOs.
And certainly on boards like this, CEOs (and managers in general) have a negative connotation.
That said - some of the most respected people are CEOs.
Thus - the question is too vague to answer. Nor is there really a right answer.
There are many CEO's of hospitals, health insurance companies, biotech companies, pharmaceutical companies, etc. that have an MD.
Both professions are so highly variable, as others have pointed out, are we talking about the CEO of Microsoft, Google, Amazon, etc. vs. an american who got their MD from a for-profit medical school in the Caribbean?
I would say Surgeons are the most respected of all (CT, Optho, etc); even more so than CEOs of large corps because they can save/change lives. Plus they can teach, do research, etc. Even Intervention Specialists (Radio, Cardio etc), are equal as well due to the maneuvers they do. Very essential.
But you're comparing apples to oranges, in a way. CEOs help business and the clients that use their services. Also very essential.

I respect people who are good people. That is prestigious to me.
Somehow I think the appropriate answer for this poster is very simple:
Whoever drives the best car, has the most expensive house and a trophy spouse. Just like reality tv.
