It's our slow season as of this week, so they're either laying people off (or keeping certain folks for one day per week), with the changes taking into effect as of a few days ago (much to my surprise). I'm one of the ones who they are keeping during the slow season for one day per week due to being one of the best in the place at it, and they even advised that we look for a second job. I applied for a job as a host, and immediately got hired on that day on the spot (with them bringing up their strict schedule, with me starting two days from today). My GM then texted me, and we had an unfortunate conversation that went like this (these aren't the exact words):

GM: Hey, I need for you to come in and work five shifts next week since we are busier than we all anticipated.
Me: Which five shifts?
GM: *Mentions the shifts that I work at the other place*
Me: Those are the shifts that I work at my other job.
GM: I understand, but we need you for these shifts. I didn't ask if you could, implying that you have to come in. If the other job is more important to you, however, then that's fine. We could find somebody else who is more interested in your position than you are if you'd like.
Me: Okay, I'll see what I can do here.

I then proceeded to contact the other place, and they took it the wrong way and really were threatening to find somebody else. I don't want to permanently lose two jobs just for taking the general managers advice by working two jobs. Am I trapped here? They even originally scheduled me just for Saturday for this upcoming week. If I'm not trapped here, what's the correct way out?

It sounds like he is trying to manipulate you into quitting your second job. I would feel trapped too. There is an implied threat going on that you will lose your job, if you don't comply.

Did you get to the doctor for the eye infection?
If it were me I would tell whichever manager that you are available to work the hours/shifts agreed to when you were hired.
