I actually enjoy throwing a bit of fun-ness somewhere...I have a couple button-ups that are bright colors or have a vivid pattern on them. But now that I've basically become the "resident gay" at my office...it's expected

DonaldJTrump: No offense. But... I have seen quite a few pictures of you. You are not naturally thin.

I don't know if it looks professional or not but it sure sounds interesting.

It’s not just the highwaters though. The jackets look like they belong to these guys’ 8 year old brothers.

I live in NY Metro area and that would be a good business casual outfit. It's hard on this forum because people live all over and we forget regional norms.

LOL @ the jacket in the link. If he breathes too hard that thing will split at the seams. And the pants, you probably can't sit down.

The OP should get professionally fitted for a proper fitting suits. Whatever you buy, the jacket most likely need to be brought to the tailor. I cant speak for your industry, but can tell you that the high waters, exposing the ankles, wearing a blouse and a princess cut suit is not going to win anyone over. Too many people want to be that GQ model , not realizing the harm such a look gives off. I notice young car salesmen sport that look , just makes me chuckle under my breathe.

I just ordered some bananas republic slim fit pants. Hope they aren't ttoo tight on my legs, I have skinny legs tho so maybe I'll be ok.
For suits, I have ok experience at MeNS wearhouse before, I bought some modern slim fit Italian brand for 200, it wasn't to tight nore toobaggy. Then paid like an extra 20 to tighten the suit and pant waste and hem

Actually this is pretty common, I see it with people at all levels- even management (even directors) here at my company. Maybe it's more of a west coast thing?

And where I have worked- at multiple places here in Seattle as well as back in the Midwest- business casual simply means khakis and a button-down or polo shirt with a decent looking pair of shoes.

What are other people in the office wearing? I wouldn't wear a suit if you're the only one wearing a suit. But aside from that if the material/style of dress (dress shirts dress pants as opposed to jeans, t-shirts) I wouldn't think twice about being a bit more "forward" with fashionable clothes. Go for it.
