Bad procedure by the cop. I think she saw the daughter and figured the guy was harmless.
H@ll, I live in the suburbs and any time anybody is pulled over on the highway, there's always 2 cop cars at the scene.
An average male cop would have fared no better against that dude. Police are trained in gyms for hypothetical situations and are rarely expected to take down one man by themselves. Thugs, on the other hand, are trained in the streets to beat your a@@ into submission.
Anyway, with guns these days, it really doesn't matter how small or big you are.
This thread is old, but I have to point out that the physical standards of police departments vary widely. While one police department might require 20 pushups from men and 14 pushups from women, another police department might require 13 pushups from men and 10 pushups from women. So, one police department could have women who passed higher physical requirements than the men of another police department. Dallas PD requires 4 pushups for everyone.
