You know, one of those guys who stands on the street corner near the stop lights and sells stuff. In my area it is normally mexicans (I am thinking they are illegal) who sell flowers. Sometimes they also sell fruit. I was thinking I could sell bottled water and other bottled drinks.

Anyway of getting this done?

At the very least, I'd think you'd need some sort of street vendor license or permit. I'm not sure where you are located, but check with your local chamber of commerce. Some year around warm weather would be beneficial as well.

I think this is a major BS business and I often never buy anything form street vendors - candy, newspaper, and especially water.

Better get a job and work for someone else, even Walmart would be better than this!

You have to pay for a vendor license and permit to sell where you want which is not cheap. I know of two men in a local town that were giving away books on the street for free in front of a closed store. They complained to the newspapers that officers harassed them and forced them to leave stating they needed the proper permits and licenses. Mind you they were giving out free books to a city that is full of low income people!!!!

I have a job but I want something on the side to make extra money. You may not buy from the street vendors but I see A LOT of people who do.

Anyways, thanks guys I'll have to look into it.

Go to the city courthouse and they should be able to set you up with the proper permits.

Learn how to fix computers and do that on the side. Yeah, but people are so cheap on that, but you gotta educate them on how expensive and crappy Geek Squad is. I'd rather do that then sell water on the street.

I could do that but, it takes time. Just getting the street vender permits is rather cut and dry. Get the permit, stand on the corner with your product, sell product, calculate profit, rinse and repeat. No need to find clients, drive around, buy tools etc.

You should move to San Fran and find a niche like the Bush Guy, I heard he makes bank.
