... for an interview.

In my head I can't isolate a particular example and explain it because these are skills used everyday that I can't isolate and explain upon request.

Could you please help with input from your own area of expertise? A short situation and how it showed through what a good business developer you are. Many thanks.

Well, this should be an easy question because it's so broad. There are many different functions of management (planning, organizing, staffing, leading, monitoring, motivating). Surely if you think about it that way you can recall a project you used one/more of those skills to excel at.

Excellent Question!

hmmm let me think. Well, if i were faced with this problem or a question that does not come up on a daily basis, I would punch it in on the internet!

But picking my own brain, lets see....'Bus. Mngmt. an Development Skills".. and remember ..I am making this up....

I instituted a three month coupon iniative at my company. Customers were invited to take advantage of a $1.00 off coupon in exchange for their shopping feedback on the back of the coupon. This was a successful venture and customer feedback increased 300 percent. This venture was directly tied into our new store hours and beverage and staple aisle display, etc....etc...

or

I targeted one of our most expensive costs of doing business, which was the storage of records. I then instituted internal feed back from our employees and researched various record storage business systems. After a six month research and feedback period I instituated a more streamlined record management system, which lowered our company's records storage cost by 20 percent.

etc, etc..

I agree that preparation is half the battle for anything we do in life, but sometimes, I think that people often make decisions based on their gut instincts, and their subjective likes and dislikes. And NoT all of this psychometric stuff, where people try to logically ascertain the ingredients of a good stew. Since in the end, what is a good stew is based on what kind of stew you have had in the past and is very subjective in the end. But good luck to us all! ;-)
