My question is related to Kentucky. I worked for a nonprofit which churned employees at a rate of 10 in 8 months. I was a grant writer and was instructed to write grants telling funders that our clients weren't able to afford housing because they made less than $14.46/hour so could not afford FMV housing. Problem is, the employer does not pay its own employees this amount, making them also unable to afford FMV housing....but is unwilling to assist them. When employees leave, because they cannot afford to work there anymore, they are regularly docked for pto pay. So, basically, they screw the employees until they are forced to leave and then screw them again. Hard to say they are helping the homeless, when they are putting the employees in the position of being homeless themselves. It's also questionable to quote the stats to funders when the organization is asking for funds which cannot sustain itself. Can anyone help?

Ok. So my family was in a shelter, due to Hurricane Sandy. I was offered a job through someone. I accepted the job, which was an onsite Superintendent.
The employer says it comes with a free apartment plus monthly wages of a $1,000.00 a month. I gladly accepted!
Once I moved in though, the dream crumbled. I am doing way more than a fair share of "super" duties.
Time for my pay in month 1:$200.00!
Ok?
What happened? I have to pay the rest later(cash). I had a sneaky feeling.
Month 2: $150.00
Minus last months pay. Or my $50.
Now she has gotten a fine due to my inexperience as a Super.(I put the trash out a day ahead, as I didn't know the trash day exactly, I was only on the job a week)
She is making me pay this $600 fine!!
I want to report her.
I want a decent days pay for a decent days work.
My children are suffering because I can't make ends meet.
I am a single mom, looking for a second job.
I do not want to rely on Public Assistance.
Any help/advice before Monday
7-14-14?
Applebees has tried to do that to me but generally they ask me if i want the change back. one time tho they claimed they didn't have any change and therefore didn't give me any.
