[quote=kissimmee lady;12505524]Hi everyone, I enjoyed reading each comment here and I can relate to all....I will go back a bit farther. I worked in a library in Brooklyn, NY in the late 60's shelving books. When I graduated H.S. in June 1971', they offered me a clerical job. I didnt want it then at 17 yrs old, I went to NYC for a job which I didnt stay at long. Anyway, at 33 yrs. old I went back to the library system in another boro in NY and worked as a clerk for the next 20+ years.....What stays in my memory is when I was interviewed for the job, the woman asked me if I was married, had children etc...When I told her I had children her concern was who was going to watch the children while I worked????? Can you believe that??? Now you go on a job interview you have to look online at "Questions and Answers to get Hired"........and then if you do get "Hired", you might make $8.00 per hr. Just thought I'd put in my 2 cents
