I got a new job as a part-time janitor.

It's 2 hours a day, 10 dollars an hour, monday to friday.

How much money will I actually get a paycheck, after taxes, etc, are taken out?

Depends.

How many deductions are you claiming?

What state and local taxes are you paying?

How often will you be paid?

Somewhere between $80-$90.

[$100 less $7.65 Social Security/Medicare; $10 federal withholding; $??? your state income tax withholding if you have a state income tax, assuming you declare one (1) exemption on your W-4.]

If your only wages and income (including unemployment benefits) do not exceed $8,200 this year, you should not owe any federal tax, in which case you could declare 2 or 3 exemptions on your W-4 so nothing (state or federal) is taken out and that would increase your take-home to $92.35.

You're right. It was within 20 dollars of my bi-weekly take home pay.
