I am college educated and work in an office environment 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri. I am "grateful" I have a job in this tough economic climate.

That said, I have taken a steep paycut and I am looking for ideas to supplement my income with part-time work.

Here are a few thoughts....

1. Part-time real estate agent
2. Bartender

Anyone have any other ideas...??????

I'm also looking to supplement the income from my 9-5. I have a CDL-B, so I'm considering a p/t bus driving gig for the city. That may be an option for you if they're willing to train you. I can't imagine a more laid back gig than driving around in the evenings. Bus driving can be fatiguing, though, so don't take it for granted.

I'm guessing anything in retail, food & beverage, or hospitality.

My roommate was a p/t hockey referee in college. He said they get decent compensation, and often times, it's under the table. Youth baseball leagues should be starting up soon, so there may be opportunities there.

National Guard or Reserves, if you're willing to make that commitment.

Pizza delivery or anything delivery for that matter.

A lot of banks are open longer hours, so they need part timers to fill in the gaps. This is a more white collar option.

Janitorial services at office buildings. They often clean after hours.

Security guard.

Hope this helps.

The problem I have found is many places want you to do shift work WHENEVER they need you.

So, if you go to find a part time job, many of them will not be 5-7 M-F but say "We need someone 10 hours a week."
