Chile:
For South America/Central America/Caribbean standards Chile is quite cultured, economically wealthier, and more stable.
With European/Asian/North American standards probably not nearly as much for that.
A lot of people from outside Chile/South America think Chile and Argentina are extremely similar and twin countries. Argentines and Chileans say that is a false conception. They say those 2 countries are more different from each other than that.
Santiago is Chile’s biggest city with around 5 million people and has spectacular very close proximity to the Andes mountain range.
Chile has nice diversity in nature scenery with the Andes mountain range, vast Pacific Ocean coastline and beaches, arid deserts in the north, lush temperate rainforests in the South, near tropical in the north, Mediterranean and mild 4 seasons in the central parts of the country, to oceanic and subpolar in the South.
Chile has a surprisingly severe lack of cities/towns in the Southern regions with a very low population. Chile should try to have some more cities/towns over there.
Probably not as much European influence as Argentina/Uruguay.
Central America, Mayan civilization, Tikal, war, banana republic, lots of corn and bean dishes

This is what I think of for Vietnam:
Visually scenic, impressive, and underrated architecture, coastline beaches, and interior highlands.
Very known internationally (well at least compared to the most unknown countries) but also still very mysterious/foreign/exotic.
Has quite a bit of history with Communism that a lot of people don’t know about. It was probably expressed very differently from Russian communism.
Actually still technically has a Communist government, but still with a capitalistic economy, similar to China just with that.
China tried to impose all of its culture on Vietnam, but that was not successful since Vietnam still has enough of a separate culture and character from China.
France had some historical influence with Vietnam. This had a little bit of influence on some of the architecture in Vietnam, and a tiny bit of the food. Some Vietnamese seem like they have some French connections such as immigrating there and knowing the French language. However. of course France and Vietnam are overall very different from each other and the influence France had on Vietnam is minimal.
Rapidly growing economy that is changing that country a lot and becoming less poor/more wealthy other people say, but still keeping some of the same culture it always had.
For Guatemala:
I actually think of cheap clothing and jungle much for Guatemala than Vietnam.
This is other views/associations with Guatemala:
Some people think it is part of Mexico and not a separate country.
Was part of the Mayan ancient civilization with Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.
I visited the Mexican Yucatan Peninsula 6 years before when I was 14 years old, and I assume the inland parts of the Yucatan is similar to Guatemala with the tropical jungle, historic Mayan sites, but being even more poor/low income, and not as tourist friendly.
Also, the Yucatan has amazing beaches in Cancun, Tulum, Isla Mujeres, and Cozumel. Guatemala does not seem to offer beaches nearly as good as that.

Oh, we responded to that recent post at the same time. When I wrote that and just had it up I didn’t know yet somebody else was posting for that too.
For Reunion:
A lush mountainous tropical island in the Southwestern Indian Ocean near Madagascar and Mauritius.
It is actually still part of France and does not have much of a separate country status yet.
Probably gets a ton of French tourists because they are most of the people that know the island of Reunion even exists.
Reunion is one of the newest places that is going on my list for places that I would love to visit eventually.
Reunion appears to be unique but if it had to be categorized with a few other places it would be with French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Fiji, Seychelles, Mauritius, and Maldives.
