Can you identify every country in the world on a map of the world? If so at what age could you do this? (schools, suburbs)

Every country? No. The vast majority? Yes, easy. I was able to do that in primary school (age 4 - 11). I still struggle with some small African nations but I am pretty much up-to-scratch with everything else.
I can identify every country on the map. I think it was sometime around age 13 or 14, probably 14. I participated in geography bees. The fact is, geography isn't taught in the schools like it should. I learned what I learned mostly on my own.
When I was 12-13 I could pretty much name every country on a map. Travel with my family helped.
Also having a stamp collection from a younger age also helped significantly... I'd recomment that hobby to anyone with kids who want them to learn about the world.
surprised by the number of people who are claiming they can do this with ease. i was a state winner in the US national geographic bee years back. might be able to do it (if not, i'd only be off by a few countries at most) but no way in hell could i name all the national capitals or identify even a simple majority of the national flags.

I came very close to being a state winner many years back. I won the geography bee for my middle school all three years, but lost on the state level. One of the consolation prizes was a globe. I liked reading maps, so I ended up memorizing the entire world. One of the reasons I majored in Geography in college.
Yes, at around 8. Was and am a geography nerd. I probably will mix up some Pacific or Caribbean island nations in detailed maps of those regions. In a world map, I can't identify them, because I can't see them!

Can't name all the national capitals and definitely can't identify all national flags, but I've got countries down. I think a lot of people stop there.

I didn't stop there. I know countries, their capitals, most of their flags, other large cities within the nations, and several land forms within many countries.

Good job then. I can identify most capitals, but I'm pretty sure I can't identify all of them or I'd at least be making quite a few errors.
identify the country that is circled on this map without using outside sources
(its on the right)
