Its hard to say being that there are more unique cultural linguistic areas in the Americas other than Lusophone and Hispanophone nations. We can't forget Francophone nations and regions and Dutch speaking areas and Danish colonial areas, as well as Swedish colonial areas etc. So it's very multilayered and multi tiered

This is kind of an unfair comparison, the one country against many......but here we go.

Cultural History: Spanish America easily, Some of the oldest civilizations started here, Lots of amazing archeaological sites. Its really not even close.

Economnic influence around the world: Brazil?

Cultural influence around the world: Spanish Americas through Music, literature and art...and food also. Spanish america has been influential in politics aswell (Che guevara, Castro, Chaves etc etc).

Your own personal preferance: I am from Spanish America so that would be my choice, but I would love to learn portuguese and visit Brazil. Its seems like an amazing place.
