When I was in Istanbul in February I met a German couple who were just visiting for the long weekend - I mean how cool is that?
So what? Many Americans and Canadians visit cities and other nearby countries, including the Caribbean over a long weekend too.
I live right outside NYC, and I've been to Toronto/Niagara Falls, Montreal/Quebec City, Miami, Orlando, Chicago, Mexico, Many Caribbean Islands, and even Las Vegas on a 3 or 4 day weekend. Not a big deal.
4.LOL, 8 of the 11 countries that recognize same-sex marriage are EUROPEAN, the first one to do it "the Netherlands" is a European country. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_r...y_or_territory
Same-sex ACTIVITY legal nationwide in the USA only since 2003, in some European countries already legal for over 200 years.
That is not a good example to use to define "freedom."
Go to Istanbul, Paris, London, Madrid, Barcelona, Prague, Budapest, Zurich, Berlin and countless other European cities and then get back to me. I'm not saying that the places you've listed aren't interesting - heck i'm from Toronto and love going to Havana for a week - but the places in N.A or the Caribbean just don't compare to the places in Europe...
Regardless it is MY opinion... you don't have to like it. It doesn't impact my life one way or the other.

I've been to Europe a few times and in any city you're surrounded with history that goes back over a thousand years, that you can touch with your hands. It's something you just can't imagine if you've never been there. It doesn't make Europe better, but what I am saying is you can't make a comparison if you haven't experienced it.
reading what ONELESS said is not true, and you are the typical representation of what europeen think of US , no education, or intelligent, think they are the king of the world !!, who need a 3000 square feet house , etc...
read each sentences you wrote and try to analyse why all is wrong.....

The thing about it is is that i give a opinion and i am told to be ignorant and to open my eyes up more, than the European come on and their like "OMG OMG there so fat in america, everything has no character, everyone is stupid" little do they know their ignorance has been as far away from the truth as can be. But not all Europeans are like this.
How many times has OneLess posted that same stupid list??
I lived in the US for 48 years and I've been in Scotland for 13. I'll stay in Scotland.
