Too far at about 450Km to the Atlantic in the Netherlands but still close enough to go for a weekend windsurfing or racing my sailboat.
I thought the Belgian coast would be closer to Hockenheim.
From Luxembourg just take the A4 into Belgium all the way to Brussels and then the A10 to the Belgian coast.
55 miles from the Atlantic Ocean on the coast of NJ. About an hour train ride on NJ transit, or a 55 minute car ride on an interstate.
Edit correction. I thought we were talking about the Ocean, but salt water I'm only 34 miles from in the Delaware Bay (arm of the Atlantic).
Philadelphia used to have loads of oyster houses all over town as Delaware Bay had loads of oyster beds. A blight wiped a lot of them out, so only a few oyster houses remain. The oysters are coming back now though. We also have crab houses and shacks by the roadside selling clams and crabs from Delaware Bay. So even though we are 55 miles from the Atlantic, the feel is very coastal with seagulls flying around and loads of seafood establishments.
