Typically countries that border each other, but sometimes not, but which countries seem really similar to each other? Consider history, language, culture, genetics.etc.
Pretty much all the anglophone former british colonies of the Caribbean are very similar to each other with perhaps a slight exception for Trinidad due to its comparatively larger South Asian population.
Russia and Belarus are apparently in a union of sorts and have a lot in common.
Most of the former Yugoslavia were/are similar to each other in many ways.
Basically, geographically near groupings of nations which use the same or similar languages with somewhat similar economies (which means North and South Korea should be considered very different) are similar
No two countries are more similar than Austria and Germany.
Denmark and Norway are very similar too, but Denmark is more liberal while Norway is surprisingly conservative (relatively speaking, it's still pretty liberal really).
India and Nepal
india (west bengal) and Bangladesh
India (North parts) and Pakistan
Pakistan (khyber pakhtunwa province) and Afghanistan
Estonia and Finland
Ethiopia and Eritrea
