Or should I say how do people appreciate humour where you live? In Singapore, it's slapstick humour or nothing. Punch, kick, slap, wobble wobble, fall -- followed by rapturous laughter. If you have ever had the chance to watch a movie here and an intelligent comedic line comes on, be ready for deafening silence and a few crickets.

So, what's the situation like where you are?

It depends on your race. Non-white "comedians" rely on racial stereotypes for their punchlines, while white comedians rely more on "toilet humor". I don't like American comedy at all. My most favorite comedies come from Japan and UK

I believe the current Norwegian humor is largly inspired by the British and American.

Dry. Sometimes difficult for non-Canadians to understand.

American humor?

It varies, used to be dry like Seinfeld or the Simpsons. I think its still somewhat like that, but Seinfeld humor is becoming more dated. That being said, 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' doesn't feel dated at all, and in the same vein.

Archer might be the newest Simpsons of the latest generation. But I think Simpsons summed up American humor for nearly a generation.

Australian Humour is mostly dry or Black, very British influenced. Personally I am a huge fan of the Simpsons, I love the one liners.

Yet pretty much all of the popular comedies we watch are from the US.
