Nowadays, not men but women mostly wear colorful clothes, such as floral dresses etc. Men all over the world now tend to wear business suits and clothing that is more monochromatic and more dull in coloring. Of course, there are still exceptions like Hawaiian shirts but those tend to be more rare and less widespread.
If you look at depictions of tribal people, even the men, they have colorful dress, face paint, headdresses etc. but they don't really make it into the modern world of office buildings, streets and sidewalks of course. Even in places like India, men have suits while women don colorful saris.
Are there cultures in countries of the world still where men wear colorful clothing the way women wear colorful clothing commonly in everyday life? Or is this not really common in any modern, developed society above the level of rural villages?
Japanese fashion is quite eccentric and favors a lot of bright colors.
Yeah, but those are teenagers and young men in their early 20s that do that. Once they reach mid 20s, it's back to conservative use of colors, since flashiness is frowned upon at the workplace
Many straight men where I live will wear brighter colours and flashier designs than you will generally see among straight men elsewhere in the U.S. and Canada, and generally are not as averse to wearing stuff that their continental neighbours might see as a bit feminine.
They sometimes get made fun of for this (by the neighbours).
Hawaii, where formal business attire consists of an expensive designer Flowered Aloha shirt. I don't think anybody even owns a suit.
