What I mean is this:
They expect other regions in the world to prefer US/WE because they're "white and christian" but people to neglect China because "who will even watch a movie where everyone has slanted eyes?". For as long as people outside North America/West Europe buy into it, the West will progress...otherwise not so much.

Yes, Germany got their a*ss kicked with their white suppremacy, now it's UK/US turn.
Why don't you just tell beforehand which countries you are going to troll about. Then we just stay out of the discussion until you are finished.
Back to topic: I do not see China closing up in anything except GDP. Their military is old soviet crap and some little modern stuff that yet has to prove its ability. They have a couple of prototypes that never made any compat experience while F-15/16/18 etc. are providing proven and reliable superiority around the world.
The US will certainly have many plans under its sleeve. But currently there is no reason to already disclose them.
China has 4x the population of the US. If they don't surpass the US in gross GDP, something is very very wrong. Militarily it's not close, not even a little bit. When they surpass the US in GDP per capita, there will be something to talk about. As far as innovation, there's almost none. It's all stolen. They have no business scruples at all.
