I think the United States is becoming stronger. It is just getting started and will remain a top nation for a long time to come, probably thousands of years.

If this happens, will the world accept it?

The US is an ally in terms of western countries inclding Europe, the Anglopshere and other democratic countries in the Far East.

Trump has caused a few problems, notable in terms of climate change, however Trump will be replaced in good time.

Most nations nd peopleare concerns about China's growing power and close relationship with Russia, as well some other emerging economies, religious extremism, terrorism and climate change.

In what sense? There are deep fissures formed within this society and they are spreading. It feels less cohesive, less safe and people are less hopeful of a better future for their children and grandchildren. In addition civil discourse is almost impossible.

This is a false and misleading impression you will get from the news media. That is because it is filled bias and negative propaganda. This includes most print media on the internet as well.

The United States currently has the highest GDP in its history. The stock market is near record highs. The unemployment rate is the lowest it's been in 50 years. The U.S. has most of the world's top universities and an extreme concentration of talent and intellectual capital probably not found in any other country in the world.

Do you realize that the U.S. economy is larger than the economies of all the countries in the rest of the Western hemisphere combined?

By the same measures that Egypt and Rome were considered top nations for millenia:

Wealth and influence. But also historical significance.

That's kind of arrogant of you to assume you know where I'm collecting my data from. I'm collecting it primarily from observing what goes on in real life.

GDP, unemployment rate and having top universities are only three variables most people don't have a good family/social life and work balance and are carrying too much debt and are focused on what else they're going to purchase. People don't have enough disposable income. For example we've been conditioned to feel that we need a lot of crap. It's largely supported by debt all a facade. We've also been duped into believing that taking on 100,000-200,000 in student debt is a normal part of life. I see a lot of people just going through the motions in this society(people with good paying jobs and successful businesses) with little highlights of the occasional special moment but truthfully people are just slugging along trying to make the best of this hot mess.

Wind your neck in, the USA is nothing like Rome or Egypt! They were regional states that, through conquering, murder & invasion turned into large Empires, controlling neighbouring states, they were products of their time, even the British Empire was inherently different and also a product of the times. The US is NOT a controlling Empire, its simply a VERY large country in world full of 'other' first world but much smaller countries & a world containing other VERY large developing countries, of course China & India have the potential to be economically powerful as soon as they move from 2nd world to 1st world, being a big country certainly has massive advantages but it isn't necessary to have wealthy rich lives - I believe the worlds best standards of living are in Scandinavia and Switzerland no?

A thousand years is too long of a timeframe to consider. Hitler also claimed that the third Reich would last for eons. China has also grown tremendously over the past decades. Whether they surpass the US remains to be seen, but at this point, they’re the only nation that has the potential to do so in the foreseeable future.

Any number of factors can come into play here.

- World War 3
- Natural disasters such as rising sea levels causing a change in global geography
- A major asteroid impact akin to the one that brought an end to the reign of the dinosaurs
- An alien invasion

Sure, some of them are less likely than others, but a lot of things can happen in a millennium.

The only reason the US stock market is so high is because the govt. has been printing money like crazy ever since the financial crisis of 2008. It has created a gigantic bubble which could pop at any time. As for unemployment figures being low - that's a joke. If you are unemployed for more than 6 months you get auto-deleted from the database. Government figures have been fudged so much they are worthless. For a truer picture look here: Inflation, Money Supply, GDP, Unemployment and the Dollar - Alternate Data Series
The US has been de-industrialising since the turn of the century - profitable in the short term but suicidal in the long term. In the absence of magic the post-industrial age will be very similar to the pre-industrial age. The US won't last long unless there is a radical change of direction.
