Why are former American Colonies poor compared to former British colonies?

If you look at Liberia and the Philippines, those are all poor nations; now compare it to former British colonies like Australia, Singapore and Canada, they are rich.

Americanism = Failure. Everywhere the Americans export the ideology of Americanism, the place becomes a failed state.

Just look at the American colonies of Philippines and Liberia and compare it to places formerly under British rule like Canada, Australia and Singapore. Sucess stories.

Well at least Britain has a few sucess stories like Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, the UAE, New Zealand, Singapore and Brunei whereas America has ZERO sucess stories when it comes to former colonies.

The original thirteen states of the USA colonized vast areas of territory. Have you heard of Oregon Territory? What about the Anglo American colony of Texas? What about the territory of Florida? What about Hawaii and Alaska which was a US territory for many years? Or Northwest Territory which now cities like Chicago or Louisiana Territory?

During that era of Territories in the Western part of the USA which was yet to be classified as States, Australia was divided by states ruled by the UK and not united into one country.

I'm talking about former colonies here NOT colonies that became incorporated.

Hey if you troll you are going to get trolled back.

Like someone said, you are using "selective history".

The successful British colonies you describe are those that were settlement colonies, settled by British subjects as opposed to those which were economically exploited or used strategically to control, conquer, or otherwise protect their interests in a greater surrounding region. In the settlement colonies, they brought wealth and institutions with them as well as the cultural values of the mother country to support their settlements, while largely displacing the local population.

Those countries that were merely exploited, guess what? They are not doing so well.

The US never went in much for colonies the way the the UK did. They were either economic (mercantile exploitation) or strategic, not meant as a place to settle "ethnically" American expatriates from the US mainland.

But you weren't looking for an actual explanation, were you? You were just hoping to "Own the dumb 'Muricans".
