Winnipeg makes Klatovy (Czech Republic) look like Paris in comparison. I can't fathom anyone gong there as a tourist, it's a generic North American city
You can tell the person who wrote the article just picked random places he/she thought of.
To me the last drop was INDIANAPOLIS!! WTF, I can think of 1000 places to go before Indianapolis!
I mean do people seriously believe I am gonna pick going to Indianapolis USA over going to Cuzco peru to see Machu picchu or something like that?
Orlando, Winnipeg, Jasper Canada, Sarasota, Milwaukee, INDIANAPOLIS, Saint Louis.... I mean WTF!! Who makes these lists!
I am surprised they didn't mention Wichita Kansas or Corn Bluff Nebraska.

At the very least, a strong case can be made for including Orlando and Jasper. Both of them are quite popular tourist destinations. Another choice would have been Banff, also in the province of Alberta.

They make this list every year and they have to churn out new "discovered" cities otherwise people will stop buying. Nobody's going to buy a magazine that tells them to visit London, New York, Paris, and Tokyo.
It's also weighed for their market audience. I saw a Top 100 places to visit book in a Brazilian bookshop and 20 of them were in Brazil, including places that I didn't even recognize at the time (Chapada Diamantina, Lencois Maranhenses, Bonito, Pantanal). Nobody's going to buy a book that tells them everything they want to see is in Bora Bora, Papahanaumokuakea or Antarctica. There's something to be said for making the list somewhat accessible.
I've been checking off my Top 100 bucket list from an old Lonely Planet book. There are a few exceptions I'd make, but to me, these are the 100 I've been aiming for.

The list is very Europe-dominated (36%), but I think is largely fair. There are some noticeable cities missing though.
Ehhh....It is nice, but not even sure it would make my personal top 100 of where I have been...Nevermind accounting for every country in the world.
Been to 19 of those specific locations, but many of those countries I have been to but not the specific one on the list.
