Has anyone ever submitted pieces to Yahoo! Voices? I was using Bubblews and I found out they are a scam (I will be getting paid, but won't be using them ever again), so I want to try Yahoo! Voices. I have a portfolio on Writing.com and have content on that, but I don't get paid for that content. I would like to submit travel pieces to Yahoo, but if I do and get paid for it, could I still post it on my Writing.com portfolio even when I don't get paid on Writing.com? I'm looking just to make some extra money while I wait to hear back from jobs in Michigan (currently in Pennsylvania and I've wanted to relocate for six months... frustrating). Is it worth it?
I wrote for them way back when they were Associated Content, in the golden days when you could get $12-15 per quickie article about pretty much anything. That doesn't happen anymore. I haven't actively written for them in a couple years now, but still get the monthly residual performance payment. They had a bit of an issue with the last one but, by and large, they always pay on time and correctly from what I can see.
You cannot get paid upfront for pieces you have posted somewhere else, but could still earn residuals for page views over time.
Alright. I might give it a try. I am thinking of writing about traveling. Thank you!
