Hi! I'm kind of new in here and I've got a question (it is actually a long story) so here it goes:
I'm almost 16 years old, studying 10th grade on a Latin American country. I was born here but my dad's family is French so I've got the French nationality (which means I can travel and live in France because I'm a citizen, though I never have been in there). My sophomore year is almost over, and I think it might be too soon to start looking for a college or university, but I don't really know how and my parents won't help me so I decided to start as soon as possible in order to have time to think and all that stuff. I would really love to study outside my country because they don't offer many opportunities in here and I really want to find a challenge in another place. But the thing is I've got no help. I don't know what to do. I was thinking that maybe (as I am French) I could just go and live in France, work first (because my parents don't have much money and I doubt they would give me a lot) and then study something. I've always loved medicine, so I guess it would be my choice. Of course, if I could find a scholarship or a loan, it would be better. It doesn't really matter if it is in France, I was thinking about it just because of the reason I explained before, but the United States offers many opportunities too, specially for students with academic excellence, and I've always got those kind of prizes at school, as well as English prizes (we speak Spanish in here but I've learned English -which I hope is good enough for you to understand this- and I'm currently learning French). So if anyone has tips or experiences that would like to share with me, I would really appreciate it. For me it is a dream to study medicine and to get away from this place, sometimes I can't even sleep well for all the insecurity and problems that happen in here. I've always been a really enthusiastic and perseverant person so believe me when I say I won't give up on this, I will achieve my goals even though I don't have any idea of how yet
Thanks for your time!
