Wind farm help (Cheyenne, Laramie: zoning, land, offices)

I am looking for information on wind farming. Are there limitations on land use that would not permit someone to turn their land into a wind farm with turbines? The Cheyenne area seems like an ideal place for this.

The wind energy density charts have Cheyenne area at a class 3 location, which is good ... but nowhere near as strong as areas not too much further North.

You might want to look up the energy density maps for Wyoming to see the better places.

And, yes, as posted above, there are restrictions as to where and the size of wind farms in the Laramie County area that might conflict with other planned or established developments. So you do need to visit with the planning and zoning folk at the county offices before making any plans for your development.
