Hi all,

Do you think if it is a good thing to have plantation shutter vs. blind on window?
Thanks.

we have plantation shutters and we love them! there's a real benefit of insulation that pays off in the long run.... they're expensive but they are easier to keep clean and you save on heating and air. it certainly keeps the heat out... we have the ones that you can open either the top or the bottom and its very nice to have the bottom section closed and the top open... i say go for it but have your checkbook handy! :-)

Plantation Shutters look better but couldn't afford the $1000's to do the whole house

I have to agree. Had I the opportunity to do it over again I would've gone with plantation.

We invested in plantation shutters and I love them. They were expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

A friend highly recommends Susan in JC Penny Carolina Place Mall (Pineville). She is very helpful and patient. The price is reasonable and there is a sub-contractor to take the measurement and do the installation with a reasonable fee.
