Hi-

We are considering a move to the community Shelly Woods (off 521 on Shelly Mullis Rd). Husband has to commute everyday uptown to BOA (I think 101 N Tryon).
For those who travel from Indian Land to uptown, do you have any suggested routes?

Thanks in advance

521 to 485 to 77 to 277. That is the most convenient route. Traffic can be rough however, all the local road routes will be worse.

I've been traveling this route for 5 years.... All the alternatives stink...I've tried them. Fortunately now, I miss the rush hours due to my work hours

There are a few other routes cut as brkyn2clt stated, it's better to stick with the most direct as the surface roads with left turns back up and makes the trip longer.

Thanks for the help. That's what I figured (and have heard about alternative routes). Hopefully hubby can adjust the time he travels to help with the commute.

Depends on what time you go in the am. My Wife does the drive daily leaving at 6:30am. She is at CMC by 7:05 but she takes Providence down the backway. Basically Rt on Shelly Mullis out of Shelly Woods to the end. Left to New town. Rt to Providence. 521 with all the stop lights and 485 construction traffic was hit and miss for her. Good Luck in Shelly Woods. It is a good Neighborhood.

During rush our figure approximately 45-60 minutes each way. Non rush hour approx 35-45 minutes
