I just found a great little bar and grill on 521 near Sun City!
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you know about a new discovery I made yesterday. It's a cool little bar and grill called Palmetto Jacks on 521 just north of Sun City. I drove by this place alot and never really knew what it was until yesterday when I finally decided to stop in for a bite. I saw some changes going on outside and figured something must be going on. It looks like an old convienance store or gas station. Pretty cool.
The staff was very friendly and the food was great. Mostly bar food burgers, wings etc but really, really good! Especially the home made potato chips. The prices were really cheap too.Turns out they have a new owner who is in the process of remodeling the place into a sports bar. He said it was kinda known as a biker bar in the past but he has since cleaned it up.There was a good crowd from the Sun City baseball team and the ladies tennis team hanging out on the outside deck.
They also are having karaoke & trivia shows on Thursdays and live bands on Fridays. Mostly swing and bluegrass bands according to the owner.
Anyway just thought I'd let everyone in on my new favorite place for a quick, cheap bite to eat and a cold beer or margarita close to home!

Are you sure you're not backing the place?

Noticed that something was different but didn't know it was a biker bar before. May require closer inspection to see what this is all about.

No, but considering the state of the mortgage industry right now maybe I should consider it!

Our tennis group at SCCL has already discovered the place and go there to celebrate the end of season play. Others also have spoke of the placde and how great it is.
I think it could be a great place to visit and make new friends based upon what I've been told

We'll have to check it out. Had passed it before, but was not sure what the scoop was... Thanks for the update on the situation and new owner.
