SAW LRG DENT ON L OTBD LE OF STABILATOR FROM COCKPIT. FLEW THE PATTTERN A COUPLE OF TIMES TO ASSESS CONTROLS. DECLARED EMERGENCY & CIRCLED 20 MINS WAITING FOR EQUIPMENT TO ARRIVE. RESCUE PERSONNEL REMOVED DEER FROM RWY & A/C LANDED SAFELY. FILED REPORT WITH STATE POLICE, NTSB & FAA (OVER PHONE). TWO FAA INVEST. ARRIVED NEXT MORNING TO INSPECT AND REPORT. DETERMIEND TO BE AN ACCIDENT DUE TO EXTENSIVE DMG TO A/C.
