Granite Bay Beach

Folsom Lake is a watery attraction in Folsom, California where visitors will find Granite Bay Beach. Granite Bay Beach is dedicated to recreation for the summer season. Throughout the year the precipitation is able to keep the lake open, and therefore the beach area. Recreation is possible from May to September. If the lake drops its water level some boating activities can be stopped. It is important to keep the level at 435 to 455 feet for swimmers and boaters. At 426 feet the boat ramps go out of service. These water level marks are elevation marks.

Granite Bay Beach is a sandy area where a buoyed area is marked off for swimmers. It is safe for swimming as long as individuals keep within the buoys. A lifeguard service is on hand to help out in an emergency from 10am to 7pm when the park is open. Granite Bay Beach does not allow camping, but Beal's Point nearby does. Granite Bay has a snack bar that rents a number of water equipment options like pedal boats, sail boards, jet skis, and volleyball sets. They also cater for family and company picnics such as a wedding or meeting event.
