Santa Cruz Wharf located along the ocean in Santa Cruz, California is a place for tourists and residents to hang out and enjoy a variety of city events. Current events include locals day on the wharf in which residents can find lunch and dinner specials on Tuesdays. They also get to save on parking fees during these events. Aloha Races and Polynesian Festival happens each year in August. The races are part of Hawaiian culture with a number of races taking place between different clubs. Guests can enjoy the festival with food, shopping, and watching the races.

Some of the attractions of the wharf include dining, fresh fish markets, and homemade arts and crafts. Whale watching, fishing trips, and kayaking can be done around the wharf. Quite often sea lions, sea otters, and other marine life are hanging out near Santa Cruz Wharf. During spring and fall, Humpback whales are seen migrating to or from Hawaii to Alaska. Santa Cruz Wharf has a lifeguard headquarters at 1 Municipal Wharf and lifeguard towers spread throughout the beach area. Public restrooms are near the Wharf Headquarters at 21 Municipal Wharf. There is also a public boat landing for those who wish to park and walk the wharf.
