Triton Museum of Art


The Triton Museaum of Art is located at 1505 Warburton Avenue. The museum specializes in 19th and 20th century art with an emphasis on artists in the area. The art work is a combination of regional pieces as well as a permanent collection of pieces from all over the world including contemporary and historical works. The museum is open six days a week Tuesday through Sunday and offers free admission. Triton is visited by hundreds adults and children each week by people from all over the state. Along with the displays of art, Triton also specializes in art education. There are several classes that are offered for adults and children at all levels of art in a variety of mediums. The classes for kids include KidStudio, KidStudio Pre-K, Summer Studio, and Art Reach. Adult classes include ArtStudio, ArtHistory, Portfolio reviews, and internships. The museum also has two community outreach events, Family Art Days and KidStudio Community Scholarship Program. The majority of classes are free of charge.

Triton has eight different faculty that teach the art classes and take care of administrative duties for the museum. Each of the faculty members are distinguished artists themselves with years of experience and a passion for their craft.
