Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Keeping Up With Passwords? You're Better Off Juggling Cats

Posted 04-28-2022 at 07:29 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

So many websites. So many media outlets. So many connections. Yet, there's so little time.

You and I live in a world where there are so many passwords. Wanna bet your passwords on so many different connections are all, .... well, .... different?? We all face dilemmas in this tech-savvy world, but nothing's more frustrating than keeping up with your various passwords for your sources and resources. Oh, face it, sports fans, it's hard to keep them all...

Wayne Kemp Made His Mark Writing Songs, Not Singing Them

Posted 04-27-2022 at 06:17 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

I've been thinking about a country legend while I listen to YouTube. It's been my best source to get some Wayne Kemp music. And what I often listen to is my favorite song from Wayne, and it didn't become a hit for him.

In fact, "Who'll Turn Out The Lights?" only finished 57th on the country charts in 1971. He didn't exactly ply his trade as a singer, but rather, creating big hits for other singers. For someone who dang near lost his life in a fiery automobile...

Another Bit From The Calendar Of Strange Holidays

Posted 04-25-2022 at 08:58 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

If you like raisins, then you'll probably just love the last day of this month.

April 30 just happens to be National Raisin Day.

Since I might get to the grocery store eventually, I'll probably just seek out some Raisin Bran in a big box on the top of the fridge....

Hard Bread, Hard Butter --- Restaurants Can Do Better

Posted 04-19-2022 at 05:31 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

I enjoy going out and trying different restaurants. Often, I find favorites and would eventually pledge a bit of loyalty whenever I make return visits.

Sometimes, you'll find food items which work best for you, for your tastes. Other times, you end up scratching your head, wondering why this selection was made this way when it could have been made another way. Such is the case with bread and butter. I have never understood why restaurateurs have an obsession...

What Many Americans Are Sick And Tired Of

Posted 04-18-2022 at 09:54 AM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Folks all over are trying to get through another day. The stories are varied, depending on who you see and what that person is going through. Some are doing alright, but others are experiencing hardships. Many Americans are wondering if this country will ever rebound from an endless abyss of left-wing lunacy.

I've put together a list of things that not only Americans are sick and tired of, but that I'm sick and tired of, as well.

Here it is:
