Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Stepping Into Our Destiny

Posted 11-08-2021 at 11:25 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

No one wants to make another trip through the wilderness. This is not a time to walk in circles. We are to walk with a true goal, aim, and purpose, making the most of each occasion, because we know the time is short (see Ephesians 5:14-17). Paul, the apostle, instructs us to walk purposefully toward one true goal -- God's PURPOSE for our life (see Philippians 3:12-16).

No one has time to wander around the mountain of defeat and unbelief; we are to ask, seek, and knock (Matthew 7:7)...

Scripture Of The Day – November 8, 2021

Posted 11-08-2021 at 07:59 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

John 13:13-15 -- "Jesus said, 'You call me 'Teacher and Lord' and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I , your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet. You also should wash one another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.'"

John 20:21 -- "Just as the Father has sent me forth so I am sending you."

This is certainly a command of Jesus for the Body of Christ to meet the needs (both temporal and spiritual)...

Seeking Communion – November 8, 2021

Posted 11-08-2021 at 12:10 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

God is ready to bring you new understanding of the knowledge -- His Spirit desires that you would call out, you would decree His awesomeness, you would claim, and then revelation will come – with knowledge. And then with knowledge will come understanding; after understanding will be manifestation, because you will mix that with faith, hope, and love. He longs for you to understand more fully.

Know that you cannot escape His presence but you carry His presence.

Scripture Of The Day – November 7, 2021

Posted 11-07-2021 at 07:55 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

"Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'" - Matthew 9:37,38

"But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not." - Jeremiah 20:9b

As the Word becomes like a burning fire in our hearts and bones, our focus is on advancing His Kingdom, and it won't be denied...

Called As Warriors

Posted 11-06-2021 at 08:17 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

"For everyone born of God has overcome the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God." - 1 John 1:4,5

As followers of Jesus, each one of us is called and commissioned by the Spirit of God to become mighty warriors of God. What is a warrior? One who has experienced many battles and has defeated every enemy. One who succeeds without fail! Warriors demonstrate...
