Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Partaking Of The Almond Branch

Posted 12-28-2016 at 10:30 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

As sons and daughters of the King, we have been given authority to pray Heaven's blessings to earth.
It is God's desire to bless us and for us to witness and "see" His promises manifest.

Just as Jeremiah was given the ability to "see" his new season (see Jeremiah 1:4-12), we are present-day Jeremiahs – having our eyes opened to understand and know all that God has formed for us (our future and DESTINY) has been preserved.

No enemy will be...

Daily Meditations And Affirmations - 107

Posted 12-27-2016 at 03:47 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance fo things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

The verse does not say that faith is the evidence of things that do not exist. God says what He has promised is already a reality. Yet it won't become a manifested reality in my life until I believe it is real before I see it -- through fully trusting Him and His word.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 - "For though we walk in the...

Rise Up My Beloved

Posted 12-27-2016 at 10:02 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

A move of God by definition involves God moving. Which means we may not "find" Him exactly where (or how) we have in the past – because He is doing a new thing. He is not changing, God never changes (Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8). But He loves to reveal more of Himself to us in greater and greater depths and dimensions so that we can know more of Him (and thus make more of Him known to the world around us).

He woos us into a greater revelation of all He is by leading us...

Daily Meditations And Affirmations - 106

Posted 12-26-2016 at 06:46 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Luke 12:10 - "Everyone who will speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him."

Observation:

JESUS WAS PREPARED IN HIS HEART TO FORGIVE MEN BEFORE THEY EVER SINNED AGAINST HIM. HE KNEW HIS MISSION WAS TO DIE FOR MEN, NOT CONDEMN THEM. I AM TO DO THE SAME.

Romans 8:13,16 - "For if I live after the flesh, I shall die; but if I through the spirit to mortify the deeds of the body, I shall live....

Daily Meditations And Affirmations - 105

Posted 12-25-2016 at 08:17 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Matthew 24:12 - "And because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold."

Love is a passion for oneness. There is no such thing as love without commitment. People withdraw from being committed, never realizing that their love is growing cold! They still go to church, read the bible, tithe, sing and look like Christians -- but inside they have become distant and aloof from other people. They have withdrawn from the love of God.
