Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.
What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.
Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)
"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)
"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)
"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)
"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Seated With Christ In Heavenly Places
Posted 11-04-2010 at 05:01 AM by Albert Finch
Revelation 4:1 -- After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things"
That voice is still calling to all who will hear. There is a door open in heaven and the spirit is beckoning us to come up there.
The ultimate quest of every Christian is to walk the earth from a position seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly places.
Therefore, our prayer must be the one that He taught His disciples, for His Kingdom to come, and His will to be done, on earth as it is in Heaven(Matthew 6:10).
We can never be too heavenly minded. The true good that we are able to do on earth will be dependent on the degree to which we have attained the heavenly treasures.
Ephesians 5,6,10 -- ....by grace we have been saved, and raised us up with Him, and made us sit with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus....for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Do I understand that I am seated with Christ in Heavenly places?
What has God told me to bring from Heaven to earth?

It is good to "hear" someone talking about a way of life and not a religion. I too agree we must deny self, take up our cross ( a totally unselfish servant's life, second only to Yeshua) and follow Him daily. Deny this world while being a servant and witness to it's inhabitants.
We who are walking in His footsteps are living the Revelation. SelahPosted 11-04-2010 at 10:33 AM by phacat
